Telephone Advice

Telephone Advice and 'call barring'

If you need advice about a medical problem, please submit an eConsult.  If we receive your eConsultation before 1 PM then a Clinician will respond with advice on the same day. eConsultation received after 1 PM will be replied by 5 PM next working day.

If for the reason of any disability, you cannot eConsult then an urgent telephone consultation with a Physician Associate can be arranged. This is done strictly on the grounds of disability only. If your telephone call is received before 1 PM then a Clinician will call you on the same day. Telephone calls received after 1 PM will be replied by 5 PM next working day ring before 10:30am and leave your name and number. A Clinician will call you back once to offer advice. Please remember, if you have 'call barring' on your own telephone we will be unable to ring you back.
